The Fine Print
Warranty Conditions
The key terms behind our 3 year / 60,000 km coverage — and how coverage works when a repair uses parts from another supplier.
NAPA Peace of Mind Warranty
The Conditions, In Plain Language
Qualifying repairs done with NAPA parts at our shop are backed by the NAPA "Peace of Mind" Nationwide Limited Warranty — 36 months or 60,000 kilometres, whichever comes first, measured from the date of the original repair.
Here's what's worth knowing before you need it. For the complete legal terms, the official NAPA warranty document is always the final word — read it here.
How Long It Lasts
36 months or 60,000 km, whichever comes first, from the date and odometer reading on your original repair order. Covers both parts and labour on qualifying repairs.
Where It's Honoured
At any participating NAPA AUTOPRO or NAPA AUTOCARE location — over 19,000 across Canada and the United States. Within 40 km, return to us. Farther away or broken down? Call 1-866-GET-NAPA and they'll direct you to the nearest participating shop.
Keep Your Repair Order
The warranty covers the original purchaser on the vehicle we repaired. Hold onto your repair order — you'll need to present it to claim warranty service.
What Keeps It Valid
Coverage is conditional on the vehicle being used normally and getting reasonable, necessary maintenance during the warranty period. Abnormal use, neglect, accident, or alteration can void it.
What It Doesn't Cover
At a high level, the NAPA Peace of Mind Warranty does not cover:
- Internal engine, transmission and differential repairs (external seals and gaskets are covered)
- Tires
- Routine maintenance — oil changes, fluid services, filters, wiper blades
- Auto body, paint, glass and trailer-related repairs
- Off-road, racing and recreational vehicles
- Commercial vehicles over 19,500 lbs GVWR (or 1.5-ton load capacity)
- Incidental or consequential damages
This is a plain-language summary. The official NAPA warranty statement contains the complete terms and exclusions and governs in every case.
Good to Know
Parts From Other Suppliers
The NAPA Peace of Mind Warranty applies to qualifying repairs performed with NAPA parts. Not every repair uses them — sometimes the right part for your vehicle is an OEM or dealer part, a component from another supplier, or a specialty part.
When that's the case, the repair carries the individual part manufacturer's or supplier's own warranty instead — and those terms vary in length, distance, and what's covered. It's not always 3 years / 60,000 km.
We'll always tell you which warranty applies before we order anything, so there are no surprises. If you're ever unsure, just ask.
