A CVIP inspection usually takes 1-2 hours and can often required dis-assembling brakes and removing wheels to obtain the required information. Similarly to the out of province, you may complete your repairs at the facility of your choice, or by yourself. Once repairs are completed you will need to have a re-inspection done to verify repairs or obtain required measurements.
CVIP inspections are valid for an amount of time dictated by the regulations. Most vehicles are required to be inspected yearly, while certain applications require an inspection every 6 months.
